The Douglas County Community Foundation manages charitable funds for individuals, families, businesses, organizations and the greater Lawrence community. Contributors can donate to existing funds, or start new ones. Funds include:

  • Douglas County Food Bank Fund
  • Elizabeth Schultz Environmental Fund
  • Fairy Godmother Fund

 

Donors give cash, stock, real estate and other assets.

Organizations with established endowment, reserve, and special purpose funds include:

  • Douglas County Senior Services
  • Health Care Access Clinic
  • The Lawrence Arts Center
  • United Way of Douglas County

 

Attorneys, financial advisors, CPAs and insurance agents work with us to provide attractive giving options for their clients.

 

We make grants to arts, cultural, educational, environmental, health, human services and youth organizations in Douglas County and beyond.

 

We also lead community initiatives such as LiveWell Lawrence.
