Douglas County Community Foundation has awarded DCCF Crisis Response Fund grants to 25 nonprofit organizations serving Douglas County residents, totaling over $226,000. These organizations are providing direct services to Douglas County residents facing food and housing insecurity, job losses and health challenges. DCCF Crisis Response Fund Grants are for 501(c)(3) organizations located in or serving residents of Douglas County, Kansas, and who are providing direct assistance to clients effected by the current pandemic crisis. Grant applications continue to be received as needs are identified through outbreak and recovery phases of the crisis. A committee made up of local leaders and members of the DCCF Board of Directors will continue to review and award grant funds on a weekly basis.

This grant program is made possible by generous donors to the Douglas County/Rise Lawrence Disaster Response Fund. Since March 25, 2020 the Fund has received $205,000 in grants and donations from current DCCF board members, staff, and donors, but additional contributions are needed NOW to meet the need.
