Fund Details

The Lawrence Community Nursery School Endowment Fund was established December 7, 1998.  LCNSEF was founded to support the Lawrence Community Nursery School (LCNS) and provides annual funding of LCNS-directed scholarships in order to expand the opportunities for all children and families to experience this unique cooperative school started in 1948.   Since 1956, the “Little Red Schoolhouse“ has been a familiar fixture of the Lawrence landscape at Seventh and Alabama Streets. Charter members include Helen and Paul Gilles, Lisa & Stuart Boley, Maggie Carttar, P.J. Mather, Lynn Minton, Sarah Goodwin Thiel, Marnie Agersinger, Katie Armitage, Bob & Joy Lominska, and many more.   Questions about giving and LCNS Endowment Fund should be directed to Douglas County Community Foundation.
