DCCF Community Grants

Our Community Grants support a wide range of local projects in the areas of arts and culture, animal welfare, children and youth, community development, education, environment, health, housing and human services.

Application Deadlines

The spring community grant cycle has closed. Applications for fall community grants are due on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 5:00 PM CST.

There is a spring and fall cycle each year, and generally the deadline will be on or around February 1 and September 1 at 5:00 PM. If the first falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline will be the next business day. Organizations may apply only once per calendar year regardless of whether the previous grant request was funded or not.

Applications are available on the DCCF Grant Management System. Applications may be submitted until 5:00 p.m.on the due date. We strongly recommend that you submit your application before the due date. Staff may not be available to respond on the due date. Applications that have not been successfully submitted by the deadline will be considered ineligible.

Eligibility

All 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, tribal entities and local governments may apply. Work must benefit residents of Douglas County, Kansas. Organizations must conduct business without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability or national origin.

We are excited to bring back our in-person, Grant Information Sessions at the Lawrence Public Library. January dates are below. Also, the DCCF grant application form for all DCCF grant programs has received a refresh!

Information sessions will be held at the Lawrence Public Library - 707 Vermont Street.
