Congratulations to the Leadership Douglas County Class of 2023! We are no longer accepting participants at this time for 2023. If you are interested in participating in Summer, 2024, please fill out the information here.
WHO: LDC is a leadership development program for any Douglas County, Kansas, community members. Anyone who lives or works in Baldwin City, Eudora, Lawrence, or Lecompton is eligible to participate.
WHAT: Participants will spend five, 2.5 hour afternoon sessions together learning Leadership Principles from Kansas Leadership Center trained facilitators. You will make connections, gain insights about your community, and practice leadership skills you need to make progress on
challenges. As a part of each session, you will also enjoy social time with your classmates so you can get to know them better.
WHY: Our goal is to provide you leadership tools so you may become a more thoughtful, engaged, and productive leader in your work, your community, and in your daily life. Our mission is to enrich the quality of life in the communities of Douglas County, and we want your help to meet our mission.
WHEN AND WHERE:
- Five sessions, 3:30 - 6:00PM.
- Class sessions will rotate between Baldwin City, Eudora, Lawrence, and Lecompton (Final locations TBD.)
- Summer (June 20, July 11, July 25, August 8, August 25)
COST: We only ask for your time commitment. If you sign up, you are committing to attending and actively participating in ALL SESSIONS. If you have any concerns regarding the cost of transportation to the locations outside of your home community, or issues with child care, please let us know. We will work with you.
