Leadership Douglas County

DCCF, the Baldwin City Chamber of Commerce, the Entrepreneur Community Group of Douglas County, and Leadership Lawrence together launched the first Leadership Douglas County class. Comprised of twenty-three active community members from Baldwin City, Eudora, and Lecompton, the class of 2019 spent four sessions sharpening their leadership skills using principles developed by the Kansas Leadership Center, while networking and engaging with their peers from surrounding communities.

Class sessions were rotated through each of the four Douglas County communities, and were facilitated by Leadership Lawrence faculty Bryan Culver, Sue Hack, and Patrick Kelly. For more information about the program, check out this press release from the Kansas Leadership Center.

The second class of Leadership Douglas County 2020 kicked off in January, 2020, but was cut short by the COVID-19 crisis.  In an effort to continue to leadership dynamic we were developing among leaders from all four communitides in Douglas County, DCCF will try to bring the class back together safely later this summer.  For a full look at the LDC class of 2020, you can see their class roster here.
