2022 Momentum Grants Awarded

Posted Monday June 6, 2022

Six local nonprofits are recipients of 2022 Momentum Grants. Now in its sixth year, the 2022 grant awards totaled $50,000. Momentum Grants fuel projects and programs that help people who are facing poverty build momentum as they take steps to reach their potential and positively impact our community. The grant program has distributed $199,600 to 20 nonprofit organizations serving the Douglas County community since it began in 2017.

The Momentum Grant program is funded by the Chestnut Family Fund of the Douglas County Community Foundation.  “Douglas County is a remarkable place, served by innovative people who are dedicated to helping everyone in our community live their best lives. We are thrilled to help fuel their work through the Momentum Grant,” said Micki Chestnut. Micki, her husband Rob, and three children, Spencer, Connor and Madeline, all participate in the grant review and award process.

The annual Momentum Grant cycle begins in early spring and grants are awarded in May each year. Click here for a full list of 2022 Momentum Grant recipients.
