The Elevate Fund is a scholarship fund to allow young men and women taking part in Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Douglas County—Littles—to reach their full potential by maximizing their education. Kids who are Littles often face barriers to achieving their education goals—barriers of cost, barriers of access, and barriers of opportunity. Overcoming these barriers not only helps the Littles achieve more in life, but it also helps our entire community as they break cycles of poverty and want.
The Elevate Fund will help selected Littles with education costs, whether in the form of a scholarship to college or trade school, help with the cost of test preparation or GED fees, application fees, books and preparation materials, or other costs associated with furthering a young person’s education.
