The Lawrence Community Nursery School Endowment Fund was established December 7, 1998. LCNSEF was founded to support the Lawrence Community Nursery School (LCNS) and provides annual funding of LCNS-directed scholarships in order to expand the opportunities for all children and families to experience this unique cooperative school started in 1948. Since 1956, the “Little Red Schoolhouse“ has been a familiar fixture of the Lawrence landscape at Seventh and Alabama Streets. Charter members include Helen and Paul Gilles, Lisa & Stuart Boley, Maggie Carttar, P.J. Mather, Lynn Minton, Sarah Goodwin Thiel, Marnie Agersinger, Katie Armitage, Bob & Joy Lominska, and many more.
