The #TeamGrit scholarship has been created by Nolan and Laura Henderson to honor their son, Grit. Grit continues to be enduring an inspiration for the Henderson family and their community of supporters. Since Grit's courageous and successful battle against pediatric cancer over the last five years, the Hendersons are ready to pay it forward by supporting Lawrence, Kansas families impacted by pediatric cancer.
The #TeamGrit scholarship will provide funding for post-secondary education opportunities for pediatric cancer survivors. Oftentimes families impacted by pediatric cancer are left in difficult financial situations for children and families. The #TeamGrit foundation would like to ease that burden as much as we possibly can. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be involved in school and community activities.
